What is CINODE?

Cinode is the backbone of the consulting business. The platform brings sales, skills and resource planning for consulting firms into one system. The result is more deals won, higher utilisation and protected margins.

Resource planning built for consulting firms. Generic resource tools plan hours. Cinode plans consultants against assignments. Every consultant has a living profile with skills, experience and availability, and every assignment can be linked to an opportunity in the sales pipeline. That is why staffing needs become visible before the deal is closed.

What you do in Cinode. See utilisation and availability per consultant, team and company. Book people tentatively and confirm when the assignment starts. Match consultants to roles based on skills and availability. Plan subcontractors and partners in the same view as your own employees. Forecast utilisation based on bookings and pipeline.

AI agents and MCP. Cinode’s AI agents find candidates, summarise profiles and prepare staffing proposals. Through MCP, AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT connect directly to Cinode.

Secure. ISO 27001 certified, GDPR compliant and data stored in the EU.

Why do business with Cinode?

Why choose CINODE?

One system instead of three. Most consulting firms run CRM, CV tools and resource planning in separate systems. Cinode brings them together, so sales, consultant managers and leadership work from the same data.

Built for the consulting business. Cinode is not a generic project tool adapted for consultancies. Everything is built around how consulting firms actually make money: the right consultant, on the right assignment, at the right time.

Staffing connected to sales. Because pipeline and resource planning live in the same system, you see which consultants are needed for deals that are not yet won. That reduces bench time and lost deals.

Ready for AI. AI agents and MCP let you work with Cinode from the AI tools you already use.

Why choose you as a supplier?

Consulting is all Cinode does. Since 2010, Cinode has built exclusively for consulting firms. It shows in the product, in the support and in the advice.

Close to the industry. Cinode is behind Konsultpodden, Sweden’s largest podcast about the consulting industry, the weekly digest Veckans konsultnyheter and Konsultkollen, an annual review of how Nordic consulting firms perform. That industry knowledge flows straight back into the product.

A European supplier. Cinode is headquartered in Stockholm and serves consulting firms across the Nordics and Europe, with English speaking support and customer success managers who understand the consulting business.

Secure data handling. ISO 27001 certified, GDPR compliant and data stored in the EU.

How do you position yourself in your market?

Cinode positions itself as the unified system for consulting firms that want to run sales, skills and resource planning from one place. The target group is IT consultancies, engineering consultancies and management consultancies with 50 to 5,000 employees. Unlike generic CRM and project tools, Cinode is built around the logic of the consulting business: consultants, assignments, utilisation and margin. With a strong base in the Nordics, Cinode is now growing across Europe, including the UK, Germany and the Netherlands.

What needs and challenges does CINODE solve for the customer?

Low or uneven utilisation. Cinode shows which consultants become available and when, so new assignments can be sold in time.

Hard to find the right consultant. Matching on skills and availability means the right person is found in minutes instead of hours.

Staffing comes too late in the sales process. With pipeline and resource planning in the same system, staffing is planned before the deal is won.

Scattered information. CVs, skills, customer data and planning live in one place instead of in spreadsheets, email and separate systems.

Dependence on subcontractors. Partners and subcontractors are planned and matched in the same view as your own employees.

Frequently asked questions about CINODE

Overview

Cinode is resource management software built for consulting firms, combining resource planning with skills management, CVs and a consulting CRM. It belongs in the same category as Agileday, Flowcase and RecMan. Flowcase focuses on CVs and proposals, Agileday on resource and skills planning, and RecMan on staffing agencies. Cinode connects sales pipeline, skills and staffing in one system, with AI agents and MCP.

CINODE is used by consulting firms to streamline resource planning and improve project success. For example, when a new project opportunity arises, users can match consultants to roles based on their competencies and availability, generating preliminary bookings before a deal is finalized. This workflow not only ensures that the right consultants are assigned on time but also allows firms to visualize personnel needs against their sales pipeline, ultimately boosting project acquisition and profitability.

Function & Usage

Cinode runs in the browser as a cloud service. Each consultant has a profile with skills, experience and availability, created by importing an existing CV or entering data directly. Managers work in a planning view showing bookings over time, a pipeline board for deals and a skills search. Users can also simply ask the Cinode AI assistant, or connect AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT through MCP.

With Cinode you can produce tailored, client ready CVs in Word or PDF, generate utilisation and revenue forecasts per consultant and team, and create staffing proposals for an assignment. You can follow the full sales pipeline from lead to signed deal, publish assignment requests to partners and subcontractors, and export data to Power BI for reporting.

Cinode is used by sales managers, account managers, consultant managers, CEOs and CFOs, while consultants keep their own profiles updated. Typical customers are consulting firms with 50 to 5,000 employees in IT consulting, engineering consulting and management consulting. Nearly 300 consulting firms use Cinode, including HiQ, XLENT, Rejlers, Knowit and Nitor.

Pricing

Cinode starts at €60 per month for a small company, and the price scales with the number of users and modules. Skills covers skills management and CVs, Business covers resource planning, matching and sales, and Partner covers partner and subcontractor management.

Yes. Cinode Free is free for up to ten users with a limited set of features, and joining Cinode Network costs nothing. Teams can try the full Skills, Business and Partner modules in a 14 day free trial.

Evaluation

CINODE excels as a Resource Planning Software system specifically tailored for consulting firms, offering a unique integration of sales, skills, and resource planning within a single platform. Its standout feature is the ability to connect resource planning with sales opportunities, allowing firms to visualize personnel needs before closing deals. However, it might not be suitable for companies outside the consulting industry that require a more generalized project management solution.

Consultants import an existing CV and get a complete profile within minutes. With the Cinode AI assistant, users ask for what they need, such as finding available consultants or updating a CV, instead of navigating menus. Through MCP, the same work can be done directly from Claude or ChatGPT. A large part of what users previously did in the interface can now be done through AI, which makes the learning curve much shorter.

CINODE protects customer data day-to-day by operating under ISO/IEC 27001:2022-certified information security management, ensuring built-in governance for confidentiality, integrity, and availability. It is GDPR-compliant and stores data in the EU. Access to CINODE is restricted to authorized users with password and, where possible, 2-factor authentication, and the system enforces data handling and security controls through its structured roles and workflows.

Company & Trust

Cinode is owned by Cinode AB, a privately held Swedish software company headquartered in Stockholm. The founders and partners hold the majority, alongside business angels and an investment fund.

Mark Kantor has been CEO of Cinode since September 2026. He joined Cinode in 2013 as Chief Product Officer and led the company’s product strategy and technical development before taking over as CEO.

Cinode was founded in Stockholm, Sweden, in 2010 by Mattias Loxi, Mikael Tell and Daniel Glendor to build a system made specifically for consulting firms. Mattias and Mikael are still active in the company, which remains headquartered in Stockholm with customers in nine countries.

About Cinode

About Cinode

Cinode was founded in Stockholm in 2010 with a clear idea: consulting firms deserve a system built for their business. Since then, Cinode has done one thing only, developing the platform consulting firms use to win more deals, raise utilisation and develop their people.

Today, Cinode is the backbone of the consulting business for firms across the Nordics and Europe. The platform brings together CRM, skills and CVs, resource planning and partner and subcontractor management in one system. With AI agents and MCP support, Cinode is taking consulting firms into the next phase, where AI helps with matching, staffing proposals and analysis.

Customers are mainly IT consultancies, engineering consultancies and management consultancies with 50 to 5,000 employees. What they have in common is that their consultants’ time is the product, and that small improvements in utilisation and matching have a large impact on profitability.

Cinode is deeply engaged in the consulting industry. The company runs Konsultpodden, Sweden’s largest podcast about the consulting industry, and the weekly digest Veckans konsultnyheter. Cinode also publishes Konsultkollen and quarterly analyses of the listed consulting firms in the Nordics. This keeps Cinode close to how the industry is developing and helps it build what customers need next.

Cinode is headquartered in Stockholm, ISO 27001 certified and stores data in the EU. The team consists of experienced people with long backgrounds in both software and the consulting industry.
