What do you like most?

A clear interface and a way to present master data imported from other systems in our company as objects on the platform.

What do you like least?

Difficulties with large amounts of master data objects. However, the product is in the category of "Enterprise Content Management System", the data is the same as in smaller companies but more in global companies.

What business-critical problems do you feel M-Files solves?

The possibility to reuse master data and the possibility to implement controlled processes on the platform.

What do you like most?

The advanced search finds documents even by words inside the content. Workflow automations make it easier to approve, assign, and move documents according to the process.

What do you like least?

The initial learning curve can be a bit steep for those coming from traditional systems. Some integrations require technical configuration, and the mobile app could be more fluid.

What business-critical problems do you feel M-Files solves?

Since I started using M-Files, I've reduced search times, improved traceability, and centralized information. Now I can work more efficiently and without worrying about duplicate versions. Collaboration between teams has also improved, as we all work on the same documents in a controlled and secure way.

What do you like most?

Easily relate documents and objects to each other with metadata. Easily add new types of metadata, document classes and workflows. Easily find documents with metadata-based searches. Documents can be automatically converted to PDF with administrator-controlled stamps (version number, date approved, etc.) when finalised.

What do you like least?

Not possible to set separate access rights for metadata and document content. Administrator tool (M-files Admin) could be more user-friendly, and some administrator functions are not available in M-files Cloud. Free text search works very poorly, often giving no matches unless the search string is exactly right.

What business-critical problems do you feel M-Files solves?

Secure formal document control and automatic version history for both formal and informal documents and files. Facilitates document collaboration (authorship, review and approval) and authorisation with electronic signatures. Tracking of controlled printouts.
